Photo, Slides, Negatives, and Miscelleous Digitizing Service
We care about your memories and we know how important they are to you. We try to scan your items at the greatest resolution we can to give you the highest quality digital files with the smallest file size possible.
Loose Photos
We process your photos by first sorting and inspecting them for wear and damage. Torn or ripped photos will not be scanned unless requested by the customer. Photos are scanned at 400 dpi so that you can reproduce your photos at the same quality(if not better) than the original photos. Higher dpi scans are possible if requested by the customer.
Slides
Slides will be inspected and air blown to remove any dust that might had collected on the slides. Damaged slides will not be scanned. Slides will be scanned in at 1200-2400 dpi depending on the size.
Negatives
Negatives will be inspected and air blown to remove any dust that might had collected on the negatives. Damaged negatives will not be scanned. Negatives will be scanned at 2400 dpi.
Scrapbooks and Photo Albums
You don't have to remove your photos from your albums for them to get scanned. Some photos may be to fragile to be removed from the album without incurring damage. We can scan photo album pages as if they were individual photos. Album and scrapbook pages will be scanned at 400 dpi.
Other Paper Keepsakes
We can scan in other paper items such as birth certificates, diplomas, recipes, magazines, and other paper keepsakes. They will be scanned in at 400 dpi. The largest item we can scan in is 11 X 17 inches. Larger items will have to be shot via a camera and lightbox.
Photo restoration
Every item we scan is calibrated to give the best color(s) possible. Minor repairs are done by our techs as the digitized items are being processed. More restoration may be need on the scanned items which can be done by us, or someone else. Once your item is digital you are just an e-mail away from anyone here, or in the world, to restore your item(s).
Digitize Formats
We store your scanned items in JPEG format. We can also store them as TIFFs if the customer request it.
